Works to this property were carried alongside several properties following a flood to the area in the April of 2023

This property was a 2-bedroom bungalow that required complete refurbishment to the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and living area
DSB had submitted a cost for the initial strip out, so were already familiar with the works required for re-instatement.


Works

The works involved the following:
- Replacement woodwork including doors, skirting and architrave
- New LVT flooring throughout the property
- Internal refurbishment to walls, including plastering in some areas
- New replacement kitchen
- Partial replacement of electrical and heating systems
- Full re-instatement modern family bathroom
- Decoration throughout the whole property
- Drainage repairs
- Replacement of cavity filled insulation

DSB Comments
This was the first one undertaken of many in the area and one we were given the task of hopefully completing ahead of schedule to allow the policy holder to move back in time for Christmas.
Mark worked closely with the policy holder ensuring all decisions were made and approved promptly to allow the job to flow and prevent any potential hold ups to the programme.
With a slight turn in the weather and more high waters, this didn’t stop the team being able to complete this one 2 weeks ahead of the planned completion date allowing the policy holder to move back in on the 18th of December and in time to spend Christmas all together as a family in their newly refurbished home.
Christmas definitely came early on this one, Another enjoyable project for DSB!!
